Central Queensland University enjoys a reputation as one of Australia's most progressive and innovative universities. In both teaching and research, our highly qualified and internationally recruited staff place emphasis on finding and challenging new frontiers in our specialist areas of the natural sciences, information technology, humanities, social sciences, media and communications, health and medical sciences, sport and human movement sciences, engineering, economics, business, education, the arts and music.
Campuses are situated in some of the most spectacular locations in the world. Central Queensland is home to five CQU campuses including Rockhampton, Mackay, Gladstone, Bundaberg, and Emerald.
Undergraduate
Basic entry requirements include English and academic requirements and supporting documents. Practical experience is very important at CQU and to provide undergraduate students with apprenticeships and traineeships, the university has formed partnerships with business establishments and government and community institutions.
Postgraduate
Postgraduate research degrees on the otherhand include Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and professional doctorates. Eligible graduate students can apply for CQU scholarships which are offered for both postgraduate programs.
Study Online
Support services such as electronic library resources, access to recorded lectures online and lecturers who guide and support students, study groups and online discussion forums, access to experienced distance education student mentors and access to CQU's distance education study centres located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Emerald, Melbourne and Sydney are also provided to students.
Distance education programs can be undertaken in many different study areas including business, performing and visual arts, education and humanities, engineering and built environment, health and information technology and digital media.
International Students
Life in a new country can be challenging so the university has prepared a range of activities to help students settle in Australia and learn about the range of support services and opportunities at the campus they will be studying at. International students may request for assistance from student advisers who are available to answer questions and other concerns. Along with all these, the university also grants scholarships for international students who are found eligible.

Scholarships
Aside from all these, a number of research scholarships are available for postgraduate research students. The vice-chancellor's scholarship is open to international students who intend to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at CQU. It is a merit-based scholarship and application is assessed based on previous academic results which must meet the minimum selection criteria.
University Life
To be able to assist students throughout their learning journey, CQU has an available integrated student support network that includes welfare, academic and career support. For new students, CQU provides planners and guides and accommodation advice. Workshops for academic skills preparation are also often conducted on-campus.
Student Reviews
Aside from CQU'S competitive faculty, many students have positive things to say about the school's easy online application. Student comments say that this actually saves them time and effort as they no longer need to visit the admissions office personally.
The most common topic of discussion among many student reviews is CQU's excellent facilities which are available for use to students. A majority of students' comments reveal that they are highly contented with the on-campus facilities.
